Christmas and college

Santa did indeed produce a quite nifty notebook computer, as I so subtly requested on the 8th. I guess the ole geezer reads my blog. I'm using the computer now to write this entry and I couldn't be more pleased with it. Thank you!!! I also got my office supplies, and I'm psyched.

I have also been inspired to write the story of my first semester in college. It will be fairly long and should cover the admissions process, orientation, relationships with my professors and fellow students, and each of my classes separately (Chemistry, English, Math, Psychology, and Sociology). The goal, of course, is to provide a case study of how an unschooler transitions into formal education. Another one can be found on Rebecca Auerbach's website, My Life as an Unschooler.

I have wanted to write this for quite some time, mainly because it was a resounding success and I like to brag about my accomplishments when it's appropriate. I have no shame. It's all about me, here on www.chancey.info. All Laurie, all the time.

That said, I'd like your input, dear reader. If you would like me to address a particular issue about college, please send me an email and let me know.
